Veterans weekend and fun with NEW friends!

We have finally made some friends down here!  Life is much more happier.  :)

We went to the Marbles Children's Museum in Raleigh with a guy Chris works with and his family.  It was such a neat place!  The M's loved it.  And so did their parents!  :)

This section was beyond adorable.  (Newborn Nursery)
A big ambulance with everything you need in the back to save a person's life.
Chris and I both looked at each other here and said "This is scary in itself" (maddy driving!)
Mason is more more of a calm driver.

 Weed-eating the grass-with a John Deere weed-eater!  ;)

 Making Grandma proud.

 I want this table!

 On the Pirate Ship!

Maddy was with me at this point, and Mason was still at the water, if you're judging why all the pics are of Maddy.  ;)

 Mason's favorite part!
 Huge Lego section

Real wood (and real tools!) to make a project

The boys had fun.  They built a plane with bombs.

 Mason was really into it.

Picture overload, but they were so cute building together.  I wish I would have got a picture of the plane they made before it flew into the toilet and blew up (you know, because it had BOMBS on it)

Maddy's favorite part.  This girl is obsessed, and was happy to see they had a purple basketball.  She wants a pink one for Christmas.  I think Grandma is on that one!

The next morning we headed off for donuts and the Veterans parade.  This town knows how to throw a parade.  Wow!  The coolest part was fighter jets flying over!  They were also doing a "Hereos Homecoming" for all of the Vietnam veterans who didn't get a proper welcoming home.  My eyes teared up more than once.   I'm so happy they got what they deserved, even if it was a few years late.  I didn't take a lot of pictures-you're surprised, I know!

 This makes my heart happy.

And last but not least, the kids and I met my friend Julie and her daughter who is Maddy's age at Monkey Joes.  Another cool place, that my kids loved.  They played for about 3 hours non-stop.  Maddy came to me, head bobbing, eyes closing and said she was ready to go home.  She was out before she hit her carseat.  That equals success!  In case you are wondering what Monkey Joes is, its a huge room full of inflatable slides, jump things, etc.  If its around you, take your kids.  They'll love it!   These pictures are from my phone, so they are not the greatest!

Maddy loves playing with her new friend, Eden!
Mason doing his thing!

And one more random  picture in this already horribly long post:  BOOK IT!  Mason got his first Book-It pizza certificate for reading (Also known as in 4 year old terms:  Listening)  He was pretty proud of himself.

 Good Job-Buddy!

Jackson's (and my parents!) visit!

I was so thrilled that my parents were coming back up to visit and bringing Jackson with them.   I missed that little guy and that was the first time I went 3 months without seeing him.  I'm REALLY looking forward to getting home and seeing Gracee.  (and everyone else!  ;) )

Running off energy during a rainy day!

 It worked!  :)
This picture was to make his dad jealous.

 She loved Stuart.

 This girl loves, loves basketball.

 Mason's favorite game!

I tried to get more of Jackson, but he was running around doing his own thing.

We picked the coldest day to head to the ocean.  :)  Jackson's 1st time!
He wants to come back for his birthday so he can swim!

 The horses were so neat!

 Dead Jellyfish

Cheering on K-State on the East coast!

Pink ice cream for the pink lover

Mason fell asleep chewing on his water gun.  Tough life!

We made a detour to NYC
This little sweetie slept good once they left.  So much fun!
