Baby C's bedroom!

Little C's room is finally done!  Last night, we organized it and it's ready for our little guy!   I love it and can't help but smile when I walk in.

His room from the doorway!

These boxed valances were the simplest thing I ever made (or Chris made!) It's just wood with fabric stapled to the inside!

The wall decoration between windows has his name on it...which is covered up, in case you are wondering what that white thing is!

I love how this dresser turned out!  It was fun to search for the right dresser and then re-do it!   The "C"is framed for right now and I do have a white T, it just hasn't been put up yet.  (Hobby Lobby had all letters BUT a T!)

There will be an Orange Letter in the green.....but you'll have to wait to see that!  ;)

His FULL closet!  Can't wait for him to wear some of these sweet clothes!

I start all of my blog posts as "it's been awhile"  yup, it has.  How in the world is this summer going by so fast?  A week until the middle of JULY?  I'm not complaining, I can't wait to get to Kansas in two weeks, and even more, I can't wait to hold a fresh, tiny baby in my arms, so Summer, continue as you are.

I have a lot of catching up to do.......

Many weekends ago, my boys decided to be handy-men.  I'm completely in love with pallet ideas and everything you can make from them.  I love the way the wood looks when it's finished, and best of all? FREE!  Chris has a friend who gets truckloads of them for bonfires that he does.  It's great.

Measuring wood for my headboard and coffee table!

I could SQUEEZE this kid, I hope his little brother takes after him in looks!

It was a hard day of working!

 My pallet coffee table!

My new headboard!  (Nevermind the bed, I was doing laundry and knew if I waited to take the picture, it would never get done!)  A blog about my completed bedroom (that's not finished yet) will be soon!  Or in reality, probably close to Christmas!  ;)

Meanwhile, I (and Maddy) were making our own detergent!

10 Bottles of detergent were made with 1/4 of the cost of 1 bottle of Tide
We figured it out and we saved $131.00 just with this one batch.
Madeline very much enjoyed pouring the mixture into the containers and I enjoyed all the money I was saving!  (On a side note:  In my opinion, this detergent is just as good as Tide!)

Beach Time!

I'm a little behind in blogging and have a few different blogs to put up!  Our internet for some reason has been really finicky, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.  The strange thing, when our house internet isn't working too well, neither is my phone internet.  I'm on a first name basis with the internet guy (sadly, he isn't much to look at ;)) and Madeline enjoys filling him in on her life story each and every time!  The convo today:  "My mom goes potty, do you go potty?" "Does your mom go potty?" "I do and so does my brother"  Safe to say, she loves to talk, kinda like her mother!

Just wanted to share some pictures of our first beach (swimming) trip this summer!  This was the week before Mother's Day.  Also the day that we took our family pictures.  Mason and Madeline were so excited to go and loved it!  We've been back twice since then, with many more trips coming up this summer.  The next time we go, I'm going to discreetly take pictures of women in bikinis.  Trust me, only about 1/8 of the people there should have been sporting a bikini.  Keep on the look out for the "Beach Version" of "People of Walmart"  Trust me, you'll either laugh, throw up, or both.

Onto the pictures!

This little lady thinks her daddy hung the moon.  And, I think her daddy thinks she hung the moon.  :)
Mason thought it was hilarious to jump on their sand castles.  Boys!
Hauling her water for their "ocean"

GREAT place for her to be!  (I love that little smile!)
"And I'm going to catch that fish and karate chop it, mom!"
Hey, I just got out of bed.  Give me a break!
On the pier.  I was almost sick walking along side this grate the whole way down.
Mason loved all the fish being caught.
 Beautiful view!
 Beach babe!

They love the water and since our trip last weekend, LOVE going out into the big waves.  (scares me to death!)
