Our New House!

We have about a year left here in North Carolina and then it's off to Kansas to live in a quiet, non-stoplight, post office and grocery store within a couple of minutes, sweet little town.   I sometimes wonder if I can make it a year here, but thankfully we have a summer full of multiple beaches that aren't far from us to help pass the time.   AND, we have a house to move, and remodel.  Well, we don't get to take part in much of that, but are so happy that we get to be apart of it from afar.  I love the picture texts and the phone calls with options that we get from my parents, and I'm so grateful and appreciative that I have hard working parents that are excited to take on this project as much as we are.   I'm planning on blogging from the beginning to the end of this whole project and looking forward to seeing the finished project, which in our mind is looking gorgeous!

A little background.  Last year, my parents, Jason and Jayme moved a house from the country, gutted it, and remodeled it to what they envisioned it to look like and the finished project is amazing.  Really.  Amazing!  So we are going to do the same.

Chris and I had plans on building a house, but the opportunity came up to move a house in, and the house fit what I've been envisioning my house to look like ever since we have been married.  Everything fit together like a puzzle.  Perfect house, perfect location (down the street from a park, the pool, and the ball fields) My dad's envisions fit our envisions, so he's the perfect one to help us and we're thankful that he knows what he is doing and is just as excited as we are!  Chris and I can't wait to get back in July and start knocking out walls and helping with whatever we can help with.

The house hasn't been moved yet, but the basement is almost done!
We had thought that the basement would be dug by the time we were home, but mother nature ruined those plans....and I'm glad she did, because I love this "before" picture..  This is where our house will be.  Love the view that we will have from our backyard.
 Basement being dug.

 Cement being poured!  Exciting!

We have basement walls!  This is Mason's future room and Channing's (years from now) room!

 Our CUTE hard workers!  ;)
They were actually helping Jackson and his friend build a fort.  So adorable!

Month 5!

Channing can sit up by himself for short periods!
Is sleeping from 8:00 pm to 3:00 am
Has a snack and falls back asleep until 9:00am!  Therefore, I'm saying he sleeps through the night!  ;)
Laughs all the time and loves having his brother and sister in his face!
Hates his carseat more than anything in the world.
Loves to be held- all the time.
Rolls and scoots all over the floor.  Time to baby proof!
Loves to eat "Puffs" and recently has learned to pick them up by himself.

Here are some cute videos.  The first one is how he reacts to ice cream.

Channing 4 Month!

At four months!

Channing finally decided to join the 'in' crowd and roll over.  He rolled from front to back and back to front the same day.
He drinks 4 oz. and eats baby food.
He started laughing this month and I forgot how adorable it is!
He is 17lbs and 27 inches!

Easter

Had a fun Easter this year!  We once again enjoyed the Easter egg hunt and Krispy Kreme donuts!

Chris explaining that you DO NOT have to just pick up one color (remember last year?)

And yes.  Once again, Maddy picked up all pink!  :)

 Easter Egg dying!

 Jax's 1st Easter p.j's!

 The Easter bunny left prints!

As you can tell...Channing was pretty pumped!

Grandma's visit!

Grandma's visit!

Chris and I had a military ball to attend and I didn't trust the daycare service late at night with my kids.  Well,  I didn't trust them with my baby...Mason and Maddy could hold their own and would survive being dropped.  ;)  My gracious mother flew to Raleigh to watch my sweet babies!  Not sure what I would ever do without her.  We appreciate her so much!  We had a blast and made a mini-vacation out of it.

The things we let our 3rd baby's do that we would never dream of doing to our 1st!
Dont worry, no harm was done!  ;)
We went to the Children's museum and this child dragged this dog and (poor!) cat around.
 They sank some ships....
 painted pictures.....
 lifted some weights.....
 walked dogs.....
 and delivered pizza's!
Watching the big's swim...and Mason let Jax play with Ironman..

And then it was his turn!  1st time in swim trunks!
 He loves the water!
 Brother does too!

Maddy doing Yoga poses....she didn't learn this from me.  A crazy lady was in there doing them and Maddy had to join in.
Grandma ordered ice cream room service!

 Cuties!
Thanks for coming, Grandma!
