I'm sitting here trying to find anything to do to fill my mind. Chris is out with Mason getting his 4 year old shots. (THANK YOU, Chris!) 4 years ago as I was sitting with my tiny baby awaiting his 1st set of shots, I couldn't imagine anything worse in the world at that moment. Fast forward 4 years later and multiply that by one million (or maybe 2 million) and I'm in the exact same spot in my life. I hate shots. HATE, HATE them! I'm ok with me getting them, but I can't stand my kids having to get them. I'm very happy that we have these vaccinations, I just hate the concept of them in any amount of pain. This is coming from the girl who was sick to her stomach her whole summer before the 8th grade year because I had to get a tetanus shot at the end of summer........... So, today I am thankful for a healthy happy 4 year old boy and the worse thing he had to go through today were 4 shots in his poor little leg. My heart goes out to the children who would love to just have 4 little shots today. :)
Update: Mason is done and did great! When he gets home, it's a donut date, then off to Target to spend his birthday giftcards. Great news-He is done with shots until age 10! phew!
Update #2: Mason picked out a iron man toy (he owns every one of them and there was NO talking him into a different toy.) He also picked out a cheap little G.I. Joe parachute army man. (with help from his dad ;) )
Onto the fun stuff:
This past weekend was the last weekend that our neighborhood pool was open, so we made sure to go both days. M&M just love the pool and since their swimming lessons they are jumping off the side with not being caught or having us right there (little end), holding their breath underwater and Mason is even floating! We plan to take advantage of more swimming lessons this winter and swim in the indoor pool on post! Here are a few pictures!
One of my favorites from the day!
Highlight of the day: Shark rides!
Splashing!
We had a fun weekend!
